Typically, these numbers are saying if your weight is lower or higher than the range, you may be putting stress on your body, such as on your back, heart, or circulation. There is no single best weight for any specific height.

Another popular method of gauging weight is the BMI or or Quetelet Index, a measure of the weight of a person scaled according to height in relation to body fat. Compare your BMI to the chart below. Exceptions are people such as body builders and athletes whose added body muscle content will give them a higher index.
